WORK EXPERIENCE -

As a SENIOR at the University of Kentucky, I currently hold positions as the lead intern with uk sports network, TATE’S CREEK HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS AND KENTUCKY men’s lacrosse play-by-play/COLOR commentator, SEC Network student production crew member, FIELD OF 68 PODCAST HOST and a reporter, Podcast host AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER for KY INSIDER.

  • Leading production efforts at the UK Sports Network for coaches shows as well as pregame and postgame shows for Kentucky Football and Men’s Basketball. Working hands-on in all areas of content creation—running camera and audio for interviews and media availabilities, collaborating with athletes and coaches to develop content. Producing, directing and editing a Kentucky basketball podcast hosted by on-air talent Michelle Knezovic and Noah Frary.

    Communicating information between producers/directors and on-air talent to ensure smooth broadcasting. Supporting and mentoring fellow interns, guiding them through technical processes, equipment use, and production workflows. Focused on delivering high-quality, engaging sports content while fostering a collaborative, professional team environment.

  • I work in various control rooms and in-venue for SEC Network shows at the University of Kentucky, taking on roles such as utility, assistant director, camera operator, instant replay operator, show control, and video board operator. This hands-on experience allows me to support the production team and contribute to the seamless execution of live broadcasts. My work across multiple positions has strengthened my understanding of the technical side of sports media.

  • Serving as the play-by-play and color commentator for Tates Creek High School boys’ and girls’ basketball, providing clear, engaging game coverage and analysis. Responsibilities include creating call sheets, game boards and broadcast prep materials, along with conducting detailed research on teams, players, and storylines. Works collaboratively with school staff and production teams to ensure smooth broadcast operations. working with local businesses to pitch and sell advertising opportunities that support the athletics program. Additional duties include scripting broadcast opens, sponsor reads and other on-air elements to maintain a consistent, professional product throughout the season.

  • I provide play-by-play commentary for the University of Kentucky men's lacrosse team broadcasts, delivering an engaging and informative experience for viewers. My role involves thorough research on team and player statistics, histories, and other relevant details to ensure accurate and captivating commentary. I prepare comprehensive notes to support the broadcast, ensuring all information is both factual and entertaining.

  • Hosting and producing The Bluegrass Breakdown, delivering in-depth conversations and engaging storytelling around Kentucky Wildcats sports. Overseeing all aspects of production, from editing full episodes and short-form content to crafting dynamic visuals in Premiere Pro. Creating custom thumbnails and graphics in Photoshop to promote episodes across social media. Focused on sharing authentic voices and growing community through polished, creative content across platforms.

    Covering Kentucky Wildcats athletics with in-depth reporting, and insightful analysis for a credentialed media outlet. Delivering comprehensive coverage through feature stories, breaking news, player interviews and behind-the-scenes content. Focused on informing and engaging Big Blue Nation with accurate, compelling storytelling across all platforms.

    Designing and editing dynamic visuals for KY Insider’s social media platforms, including custom graphics, animated content for YouTube, and branded overlays for both short- and long-form video. Edits podcast content and develops reusable templates to ensure consistency and impact across Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

  • Reporting and writing gamers, secondary stories and features on teams and players at the University of Kentucky. Experience includes: club hockey, club lacrosse, men's tennis, gymnastics, baseball. 2X KPA General Excellence Award Recipient. Position held from Jan 2024-April 2025.

  • Co-hosting guests on a weekly show, Kernel at the Buzzer, where we talk about University of Kentucky sports with two other Kentucky Kernel reporters. Work also includes creating graphics, editing the episode as well as packaging clips for social media. Position held from Dec 2024-April 2025.

  • Working in fine dining has taught me how to stay composed under pressure, manage multiple responsibilities, and deliver exceptional service—skills that directly apply to the fast-paced world of sports media. Just like in live sports production, clear communication, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential for creating a smooth and engaging experience. This role has strengthened my ability to adapt quickly, solve problems on the fly, and maintain professionalism in high-stress environments.

  • I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Journalism at the University of Kentucky, set to graduate in 2026. Alongside my major, I’m earning a minor in Jewish Studies and an undergraduate certificate in Sport Communication, Media, and Promotion. This combination of coursework has given me a well-rounded understanding of the sports industry, media production, and cultural perspectives, while equipping me with the technical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for a career in sports media. My education has been complemented by hands-on experience in live production, reporting and content creation, allowing me to apply what I’ve learned in real-world settings.

  • In my roles with the SEC Network, UK Sports Network and the Kentucky men’s lacrosse team, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience in live sports production. Whether I’m working as an assistant director, camera operator, instant replay operator, video board operator or play-byplay-commentator I’ve learned how to manage the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of live broadcasts. I take pride in my ability to capture and deliver high-quality visual content that enhances the viewing experience and brings the excitement of the game to audiences in real time.

  • For UK Men’s Lacrosse, custom overlays and score bugs are designed to give live broadcasts a polished, professional look that keeps viewers engaged and informed throughout each game. For the Kernel at the Buzzer podcast, all background graphics and visual templates were built from scratch, establishing a consistent and recognizable brand across multimedia platforms.

    Additionally, graphic design work for KY Insider includes creating social graphics, episode covers, breaking news templates, recruiting updates and on-brand visual packages that match the fast-paced rhythm of college sports coverage. For the Field of 68 network, podcast thumbnails, show overlays and platform-specific graphics are produced to elevate the viewer experience and strengthen brand continuity across YouTube, social media and live digital programming.

    Across these roles, this work has helped develop a strong eye for layout and visual identity, an understanding of audience engagement, and an ability to balance creativity with functionality under tight deadlines, ensuring every piece of content looks clean, modern and built for high-level sports media.

  • Experience in sport communication has centered on connecting audiences with the games, stories and personalities that define athletic culture. Providing live play-by-play commentary for UK Men’s Lacrosse, reporting on teams and athletes for KY Insider, co-hosting multiple podcasts and contributing to broadcast production with the UK Sports Network and SEC Network all emphasize delivering accurate, engaging and accessible coverage. Work across these platforms has strengthened the ability to collaborate with production crews, interview subjects confidently, craft clear narratives and communicate in fast-paced environments. Each project focuses on capturing both the action on the field and the emotion behind it, ensuring that every story resonates with fans and adds depth to their understanding of the sport.

  • Solid research is the foundation of everything I do, whether it’s preparing for a broadcast, writing a feature story, or interviewing an athlete. I take the time to dig into stats, history, and context so that my work is accurate, insightful, and well-rounded. This dedication to preparation allows me to ask better questions, provide richer commentary, and write more compelling stories.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud has been essential in bringing my work in sports media to life. Using tools like Photoshop and Premiere Pro, I create high-quality graphics, video content, and visual elements for broadcasts, podcasts and social media promotion. This technical expertise allows me to blend creativity with storytelling, ensuring my work is polished, engaging, and aligned with the fast-paced demands of sports media.
